Following a heavy emphasis on Gemini AI innovations at Google I/O 2025—from revolutionizing web searches to creative filmmaking—Google is gearing up for its hardware spotlight. The Made by Google event is scheduled for August 20, and Google has already teased one of its Pixel 10 models, stirring anticipation.

Google’s track record for leaks continues, with most upcoming devices already surfacing online. After reviewing the buzz, here’s a rundown of what to expect at the New York City event on August 20, where Google will showcase its latest innovations.

Google’s event invite hints at “the latest on our Pixel phones, watches, buds and more,” suggesting a lineup similar to last year’s offerings. Expect the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold to take center stage.

Google’s preview of the Pixel 10 confirms it sticks to the Pixel 9’s aesthetic, with a pill-shaped camera module and flat display. Subtle refinements, like smoother edges where the flat sides meet the back, are in store. All models will retain their predecessor’s screen sizes but come in slightly thicker and heavier builds, per Android Headlines. New color options include “Frost” (vibrant blue), “Lemongrass” (sunny yellow), “Indigo” (soft purple), and “Obsidian” (sleek dark gray) for the Pixel 10, while the Pro models get Obsidian, “Porcelain” (creamy off-white), “Moonstone” (cool bluish gray), and “Jade” (subtle green). The Pixel 10 Pro Fold may launch in Moonstone and Jade.

Camera upgrades are a highlight: the Pixel 10 series will introduce a 11-megapixel 5x telephoto lens, akin to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pro XL boast a 50-megapixel main, 48-megapixel ultrawide, 48-megapixel telephoto, and 48-megapixel selfie camera. The Fold variant might feature a 50-megapixel main but 12-megapixel ultrawide and telephoto, with 11-megapixel selfies.

Under the hood, Google’s Tensor G5 chip promises efficiency gains via a 3nm TSMC process, potentially boosting battery life and AI capabilities. While raw power may not surge dramatically, it’s optimized for on-device AI tasks.

Google’s wearables are evolving too. Leaks of the Pixel Watch 4 from 91mobiles indicate a thicker profile with slimmer bezels, available in 41mm and 45mm sizes. New colors like Moonstone align with the Pixel 10 series, and the display is brighter for better visibility.

The added thickness accommodates a larger battery and a new wireless charging dock—ditching the pogo-pin puck for faster, seamless charging.

Wear OS 6, debuting on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8, will likely power the Pixel Watch 4, including Gemini integration and other refinements. Expect exclusive Fitbit Premium features, given Google’s ownership.

With the Pixel Buds Pro 2 from last year still fresh, Google may refresh the affordable Pixel Buds A-Series as the Pixel Buds 2a, per Tom’s Guide. These budget earbuds skip ANC to keep costs low but could match new Pixel 10 colors for a cohesive lineup.

Pixelsnap

Google is embracing Qi2 wireless charging with “Pixelsnap.” Leaks show the Pixel 10 with built-in magnets for faster, MagSafe-like charging. Android Authority reports a new magnetic puck accessory, and the Wireless Power Consortium’s 25W Qi2 hints at broader adoption for Android flagships like the Pixel 10.

Gemini and Exclusive Software Features

Gemini AI remains central, with recent Pixel Drops adding AI tools. The Pixel 10 may debut software exclusives like enhanced Gemini integrations for smarter reviews or deal recommendations. Wear OS 6’s Gemini access could extend to the Pixel Watch 4.
